TEACHER TRAINING FAQ
1. What is this course?
This new revolutionized introduction of yoga teacher training program has been designed by Michelle, a senior yoga teacher in Melbourne, Australia.
Michelle has been teaching yoga teachers for many years and notice that a lot of people registering into a Teaching course with little background knowledge of yoga.
Yes, most have had general practical experience of asanas, but no background in yoga history, yoga philosophy and/or anatomy and physiology of the physical body. Michelle aims to support the yogis that would genuinely like to benefit others in health and wellness through yoga teaching, by giving them all the support and background information to set the stage for a truly rewarding journey into yoga.
2. What content do you receive?
You will receive online lectures, audio programs and video footage for your personal practice. As there are thousands of yoga asanas, we focus on 28 specific poses and their benefits in this course and thoroughly learn about each one and how to teach them effectively.

3. How does it work?
The course contains 8 modules, all having different tasks to be completed to progress to the next module. Each task can be submitted online and assessment will then be forwarded on to you.
4. How do I register?
You can click on the link here and it will send you an email confirmation. From there you follow the link and sign up. On payment, your course will be sent to you and you can get started immediately. T & C’s policies and payments. Please read T’s & C’s via this link.
5. Who would the training suit?
If you have been practicing yoga for a while and was considering teacher training, if you want to know more for your own personal practice, if you want to learn through a small online course first to see if it’s for you.
If you are a teacher, personal trainer or in the health industry and would like more knowledge to pass on to your team, but don’t want to do a full training program at this time, if you would like to do this course for personal development.
6. How do we ask questions?
Contacting the assessor. I am easily contactable via email and will answer all your questions. If you feel like you need more assistance, then a video chat or phone call can be arranged at your convenience. I am your trainer and your assessor. I will be the one who answers your emails and calls. I am with you all the way along your yoga journey.
7. How long does the course take to complete?
Although this Teacher training course is self-paced it would be highly recommended to be consistent with the program to make it most beneficial for you and therefore could be completed as quickly as 8 weeks from commencement of training. If you can allocate 10 hours per week for the training which includes your daily practical training required, you will be well on your way to completing the course in the time frame.
8. How long do you get to complete the course?
If you need the extra time to finish the course, you have as long as you need from your start date to complete all set tasks and receive certification of Intro to Yoga Teacher training.
9. What do I receive on completion?
After final assessment of the course, you will receive a certificate of completion, outlining the hours you have obtained in each area of yoga teacher training introduction. You will have the knowledge to enhance your own practice, incorporate some yoga into your classroom or workplace. (Check your workplace insurer for more details)
*You can use this as your pre-requisite to complete the full 200-hour teacher training course with Yoga 101 online which will enable you to register with Yoga Australia as a provisional yoga teacher.
You can view YA guidelines of this level of yoga teaching here. “Provisional membership The Yoga Australia Provisional membership category is equivalent to the Yoga Alliance RYT200® standard and provides recognition in line with common overseas minimum requirements. Teachers with 200 hours training in the required curriculum areas are able to obtain Provisional membership with Yoga Australia, on condition that they continue their training to reach 350 hours of training (and therefore Full membership of the association) within a period of three years. Provisional members are able to teach yoga and qualify for yoga teaching public liability and professional risk insurance. New Provisional members who have spent less than 12 months training to become a yoga teacher are also required to enter into a mentoring agreement with a more senior recognised teacher to bring the length of time spent under supervision up to 12 months. *If you want to be upgraded to a 350hour level 1 teacher, 12 months training and 40 hours of practical teaching will need to be undergone with your preferred mentor yoga teacher.
