YOGA TEACHER TRAINING
Yoga is a means to finding a reconnection with the self through mindfulness, yoga postures, meditation, relaxation, and healing breath work. Yoga 101 reveres the integrity of the Yogic tradition; this course encompasses the 8-fold path taught by Master Patanjali in the Yoga Sutra.
In this 350hr Yoga Teacher Training course you will develop your knowledge about Yoga whilst enhancing your own practice and self-development skills.
The vision of YOGA 101 Teacher training course is to further develop the education and experience of yoga practitioners, creating an atmosphere of self- discovery and growth.
Yoga 101 teacher training course enables yoga practitioners the ability and confidence to then extend that knowledge on to others through teaching yoga in the community.
You will learn how to write and facilitate inspiring yoga classes, discovering your own unique style of teaching. Through this you will become the most authentic teacher that your students will naturally gravitate toward.
Once you graduate you will have the opportunity to be a registered Yoga teacher with Yoga Australia, a nationally recognized body of highly trained Yoga Teachers. This registration will allow you to be insured as a yoga teacher and give you access to seek employment as a yoga teacher and give to others the gift of yoga. This is a RYTA350 course.
Curriculum
- The yoga 101 training program runs, part time over 12 months.
- Two evening sessions per week on Monday’s (optional online or in studio) and Thursday’s in studio from 7.15pm-9pm
- One full Sunday per month from 8am – 4pm (dates TBA)
- The program includes assessments in the form of essays, multiple choice and short answer question sheets, assignments, and practical covering,
- Yoga Philosophy; Yoga History, Yoga Sutras of Master Patanjali, Eight limbs of yoga, Bhagavad Gita, Pranayama, Chanting, Karma Yoga.
- Anatomy and Physiology; Body movements, Joints and Planes of Movement. All systems of the body including Skeletal System, Muscular System, Nervous System, Endocrine System, Lymphatic System, Respiratory System, Cardiovascular System, Digestive System
- Yoga Physiology;
Meditation being a key component of our yoga training course.
The Energetic Body (Koshas), The Chakras, The Nadis, The Gunas, Introduction to Ayurveda - Teaching Techniques, Modification and Method;
Posture analysis and Alignment Adjustments, modifications, and corrections, sequencing. - Facilitating your own classes; including marketing and building your clientele.
- Asana including
Forward Bends, Backward Bends, Twisting Postures, Lateral Bending Postures, Balancing Postures, Inversions, mudra, bandha, relaxation - Yoga for every BODY - Learn how yoga can accommodate all people and how to adapt styles of yoga to suit individual needs
- 40 hours of Practical Teaching throughout duration of course will be supervised and assessed by Michelle or one of your Mentors in our community classes and tutorials.

~150 session pass of yoga classes at YOGA 101.
The class pass is gifted to you so that you have the time and opportunity to attend as many classes as you need to, to meet the required 150 hours of practice throughout the year to be able to be qualified to pass. (This 150 session pass has a 12 month expiry) There are no suspensions or extensions available on these session passes)

Join Michelle for a professional development 2-day course that will ignite your passion for teaching inspiring yoga classes.
Learn how to write up your own inspiring yoga classes with knowledge and intention to enhance your students experience of the authentic practice of Yoga.
With newfound expertise you can challenge your students to reach their full potential during their sessions.
In this course we cover;

- How to build a class toward a peak pose
- Learn what movement patterns can assist students to develop body awareness and work with the body they have.
- Understanding how props and modifications of poses can progress a student further in their practice.

- Learn the classic flows of Surya Namaskar A, B and Chandra Namaskar in detail.
